Students will maintain these five competencies to become healthy and productive members of society.

¿Qué es Fountas y Pinnell?
Fountas y Pinnell o (F&P) ayudan a los maestros a determinar el nivel de lectura de su hijo haciendo que los estudiantes lean un libro en voz alta y respondan preguntas. Los niveles de lectura se representan con letras. Por ejemplo, el nivel de lectura de su hijo podrÃa ser B.
¿Qué es un nivel de lectura?
Un nivel de lectura es simplemente una medida de la capacidad de su hijo para leer texto. Refleja lo bien que su pequeño puede leer independientemente . Es importante destacar que los niveles de lectura lo ayudan a elegir los libros que se adaptan bien a su hijo y, al mismo tiempo, representan un desafÃo.
Estos niveles están destinados a ser útiles, no estresantes. No limitan a su hijo, sino que lo ayudan a convertirse en un lector fluido y emocionado.
Cuando su hijo lee libros que son apropiados para su nivel de lectura actual, aumenta su confianza para que realmente pueda disfrutar leyendo !

¿Qué es Envisions?
Envisions es el programa de matemáticas que se usa en todos los grados de la escuela PS 28. Envision Math combina el aprendizaje basado en problemas con el aprendizaje visual. Los estudiantes aprenden más sobre matemáticas resolviendo problemas enriquecidos basados en la realidad. Obtienen una comprensión más profunda y clara de los conceptos matemáticos con modelos visuales y andamios en cada lección.
